Work It Wednesday: Striped Top

One of my favorite things to pull out when the weather starts to warm up is my three quarter sleeved tops. There is just something so feminine and fresh to me about this sleeve length. And my absolute favorite three quarter sleeve top is my black and white striped one. I thrifted this baby for about $4 two years ago when I first started blogging and it has easily become a favorite.

So here's how I wear a striped top.

One of my earliest outfits with boyfriend jeans and coral accents. (And of course a cute kiddo in the background cause that's how we roll around here.)

And with jeans, wedges and a scarf. Easy, comfy, chic.

And finally my favorite look, over a dress with boots.

Work it Wednesday: Mint Jeggings

My new mint jeggings from Walmart. These things are crazy comfy and I wish I had them in every color. Seriously. Also, just so you know, this is pretty much three outfit posts in one. Sorry about that. ;)

First up, burgundy and mint.  And of course my fabulous stripey flats.

And no full outfit photo on this one, but I paired my striped tunic with my cozy black cardi and polka dot flats. Have you noticed that I pretty much always wear these flats with stripes? Hmmmm.

And finally more stripes with teal and snakeprint shoes. This is my least favorite because my tops aren't quite as long as I like when wearing leggings. My rear is covered, but I like the longer tops better.

Work it Wednesday: Blazers

So I though I would bring back a feature I did way back in my early blogging days. Work it Wednesday is when I take one item or style and show three ways to wear it. Hope y'all enjoy!

This week I'll be working blazers. I have a huge blazer collection from my working days. Here are a few of my favorite ways to wear them.

Belted over a dress! (Especially with a puppy audience and drinking kiddo.) Pretty much any blazer and any dress will work for this look. Try a fitted blazer with a flowy maxi dress and pretty belt.

2. With a tee and skinny jeans. (I think this is from my second outfit post - ancient.) This is a very lady like jacket but it pairs perfectly with jeans for date night. As much as I love a good cardi, don't discount your blazers for casual wear too!

 3. And of course, the obvious - with a pencil skirt and boots. I love the mix of textures in this look - the velvet blazer, tweed pencil skirt, knit tee and suede boots. Even if you don't have to dress in suits for work, a blazer and pencil skirt is always appropriate. If you feel too dressed up, add a fun scarf, flats or colorful tights.

This Wednesday I am working my new striped flats. Which I apparently keep wearing with the same distressed skinny jeans. Eh. If it works, it works. Maybe next time I wear them, I'll get all adventurous -like and wear them with a skirt. Yikes!
