Day 1

top: thrifted, pants: jcpenney, sandals: target

Here is outfit #1. Starting out pretty simple - silk top and pants (hello, how comfy is that?) and a giant necklace. That's pretty much it for outfit details.

I finally found a white vest today and it is the last of my 30 items. You'll see it soon, I'm sure. I am not really abiding by the original shopping rules. Because of my limited budget, when I find a piece that I am looking for, there is usually only one chance for it (either thrifted or clearance). So, I will still be keeping an eye out for the pieces that are on my needs list. I won't, however be shopping for anything not on my list. Also, in the interest of full disclosure, my Sunday morning outfits will not be part of the 30 for 30 challenge, but Sunday night's will. I won't blog the non 30 for 30 outfits now, I'll save them for after the challenge is over. I am really looking forward to this - I am just enough of a rebel/free spirit to have to do things my own way. :)

My hubby left this morning for a week. He'll be back briefly on Friday and then off again on Saturday. Munchkin and I miss him already. :( Kiddo has been asking every five minutes when daddy will be home, why couldn't we go with daddy, I want to see daddy, now, etc. Hopefully by tomorrow that will calm down some. He's starting to drive me a little batty.

In other news, I injured my shoulder (ouch ouch ouch!) on Saturday and so had to skip two of my workouts. I am seriously annoyed by this, but lifting weights just wasn't a possibility. Hopefully I will be able to get back to it tonight. Man, I am such a slacker.

Hope y'all are having a better start to the week than I am. On that happy note, I'll wish you a good night. :)
